The challenge from a vision to a strategy…...
The primary focus of my position as a strategy consultant is to assist an organization in making distinctive, long lasting improvements by creating and marketing new and innovative business solutions and solving strategic business issues and challenges.
As strategies are becoming more complex due to ever increasing globalization, it is important for an organization to identify the key strategic values that create solutions in a short period of time thus setting itself apart from its competitors.
To identify these key strategic values I handle every situation within an organization like a puzzle, approaching it as a challenge, breaking up conceptual, problems or projects into their component parts and by doing so discovering and defining the real issues from which a strategic plan and critical path can be formulated.
Team work in this respect is very important as it is my view that the drive of discovering new opportunities and challenges shared among others can be most effective. Team building and the power to focus on a situation as a team with critical perspectives on strategic changes can therefore be very effective in terms of creativity and effective solution development.
Applying these views to my position as a Livestrong leader with the Lance Armstrong Foundation I and my team succeeded in organizing successful fundraising events during fairs and events furthering community building and increasing awareness of Livestrong’s global cancer movement.
An interesting quote from Gerco Rietveld which I use in my day-to-day business: “If you focus on costs the quality will go down, if you focus on quality the costs will go down”.
